Jennice Chewlin

Jennice Chewlin, MPH, CHES®, Founder and CEO, Chewlin Group

Understanding the impact of social determinants of health, Jennice Chewlin launched Chewlin Group in 2016 with the mission to provide equitable access to health education and well-being promotion to improve individuals’ knowledge, skills, and tools to make positive lifestyle changes. She does this by working with large corporations, small businesses, and nonprofits – across all cultures. Chewlin is bilingual in English and Spanish.

With over 15 years in public health, Chewlin has worked on many health and social issues, including behavioral health, gun violence, suicide prevention, tobacco prevention and cessation, nutrition and fitness, youth development, and more. Her desire to concentrate on mental well-being education came after suffering from burnout in 2019, and stories from others who became isolated and stressed during the COVID-19 pandemic. She continues on her journey from burnout to thriving and is humbled to help others in their own journey.

Chewlin is credentialed as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) since 2010 by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and achieved her Master’s in Public Health from Barry University.

Chewlin’s experience across nonprofits, service organizations, and government agencies gives her a unique insight into health improvement. She is laser-focused on building bridges to improve community engagement, meeting people where they are, and amplifying the voices, stories, and health education access for the BIPOC community.
